Happy New Year! The year is coming to an end and the crappie fishing has been fantastic this year! The fishing on Weiss Lake has been great all year. We caught a lot of fish trolling in the spring, casting and fishing brush in the summer and the ledges have been on fire this fall. We have been out on the lake a lot over the last month and have had some huge stringers of big crappie. A lot of fish in the 12 to 15 inch range and had one that was over 3 pounds! The weather this fall seemed warmer and the fishing was a little slower than normal in October and November but December did not disappoint! The water temps dropped and the crappie went to feeding! You can catch them right now on jigs of minnows! The year is about to close but 2024 looks to start off great!
