We have made it through the Labor Day weekend and now it is time to get ready for the fall crappie season! The heat is still holding on and will for the next few weeks as we have temperatures in the mid 90's forecast for the next week. But, all of that will soon change as we get toward the end of the month. The weather should be cooler and the crappie should really start to bite. Right now, the fishing is still tough but you can usually catch a few early in the morning around daylight. The higher the sun gets the slower the fishing gets. The best method right now is to use your electronics to find some brush and drop a minnow down in it. The bite has been pretty light so holding the rod in your hand seems to work best. The fall crappie season will start up in just a few weeks! We are starting to book up but we still have a few dates available. Give me a call to get your date reserved and get in on some great fall action. Remember there is a ten inch size limit on Weiss Lake and the daily creel limit is 30 per person, per day.
