The crappie have spawned but the fishing is still really good! We have been out on the lake several days this week and have been catching some really nice stringers of crappie. We have been catching 100+ fish per day but only having around 30 keepers each day. We are catching our fish trolling and also shooting jigs under the docks. There are some fish that are still up in the shallow water but some have already moved back out to the deeper water. The best docks are the ones with at least 6-8 feet of water on the front and near deeper water. These two techniques will continue to produce over the next several weeks. If you want to get in on some great fishing action give us a call. We still have a few dates open over the next few weeks. Also you still have a few days left to get in on the Weiss Lake Improvement Associations crappie rodeo. There are still a lot of tag fish waiting to be caught including one worth $10,000 cash! This will run through the end of the month. Remember there is a 10 inch size limit on crappie on Weiss Lake and the daily creel limit is 30 per person, per day!
