The fishing on Weiss Lake has been really good over the past few weeks! The fishing has really improved as the water temperatures have dropped into the low 60's. The bite is really light and the fish seem to be holding tight to the cover. We have caught fish using two different methods. We have been shooting docks with jigs and also using live bait along the river ledges. The main key to catching these crappie has been the use of electronics to locate the structure. The fishing should continue to be good as we are getting some cooler weather and the water temperatures should be dropping into the 50's over the next few days. As the water temps cool, the fish should get more aggressive as they really start feeding up for the winter. We still have a few dates open so if you want to get in on some great fall fishing give me a call ASAP to get your dates reserved! Remember Alabama Power has started the winter draw down and the lake level is dropping. It is currently down a just over 2 feet. See ya' on the Water!
