The Dog Days of Summer are coming to a close and the fall crappie season is about to get underway! The temperatures are finally starting to drop and the crappie will be biting. The crappie bite was pretty good during the summer months but will get better As the water temps fall. Our fall season here on Weiss Lake gets underway around the end of September and will run into December. During the fall season, you can catch crappie using a variety of techniques including vertical fishing brush with live bait, shooting docks and late in the season long line trolling. Remember during the fall of the year Alabama Power has changed their draw down schedule and the lake will now only drop three feet. We are booking up fast for the fall season but we still have a few dates open so give us a call ASAP to reserve your dates and get in on some great fishing action! See Ya' on the Water!
